How to Set Up a Spooktacular Halloween Table

Halloween is one of my favourite celebrations, presenting ample opportunities to be creative. With a looming concerns of a fourth wave of the pandemic coming, we are seeing an increase in interest to have decorations for intimate set ups at home. A number of our Halloween decorations, cupcake and cake toppers are already sold out and many selling fast! If you’re unsure of how to plan for October now, we hear you! It is hard… In this blog post, we will share some cute ideas for spooktacular Halloween Table.

What you'll need:

  • Backdrop - Halloween themed or something that goes with you overall theme - could be your garden, a window, balloons.... you get the idea. This is important to choose carefully as the backdrop will help set the overall mood and look for your arrangement and photos. You'll want some photos of your magical creation.

  • Table cloth or Runner - For our photo we used our Gold Stars Table Runner. A great way to add colour and tie in your overall look. Bonus: table covers make clean up a breeze!
  • Tableware - Whether you're using your own every day tableware or themed Halloween ones, tableware is an easy way to incorporate your theme. We love the Vintage Halloween Plates, napkins and cups by Meri Meri this year with dancing skeletons, ghouls and pumpkins.

  • Food/Drinks/Treats - Simple food can be made extraordinary with cake toppers, cupcake kits , food picks, cups, and props like gummy worms and candy eye balls. Food and drink with shades of black, and green will look Halloween fantastic. Add some cute shaped cookies, that you can also bake and decorate together with sprinkles.

    • Table Scatter / Confetti - Add some scary elements or cute cut outs of spiders, ghosts, confetti or real pumpkins to complete the look.
