Our Top 3 Summer Party Ideas

Our Top 3 Summer Party Ideas

Now that the weather is getting warmer and more Canadians are able to get their vaccines, we are seeing increased interest in hosting small outdoor gatherings. After all, it's been a long time since many of us have seen our friends and family. We've got three AWESOME ideas to help you plan the perfect backyard soiree. Added bonus, clean up for these parties is a breeze!

1. Summer Fiesta

Put a cool new twist to this all time summer favourite. Our new line of cute cactus and Llama themed tableware, featuring a mint green and white background with bright pink flowers and adorable gold spikes, are a perfect addition to a boho, fiesta themed decor.

Add some citronella candles and twinkling lights to your backyard for ambience. Check out this cool summer tunes on Spotify. Serve your favourite summer drink and voila! you've got yourself a party to remember.

2. Ice Cream Party

I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream...and the best summer treats. The Ice Cream party is one of my personal favourites. It is so easy to pull off and a super hit with my crowd, both young and young-at-heart.

I was inspired to create one for my little family a coupld of weeks ago. For the most part, I used items we already had at home or were a quick pick from our every day grocery run. I repurposed my daughter's play grocery stand as my focal point. From the shop, I featured a few of our best sellers like the Meri Meri Ice Cream Cart Centrepiece, Life is Sweet Felt Garland, and Sweetapolita Sprinkles

Our curated Ice Cream Party Box makes it easy to put this theme together in minutes. Just add ice cream, fruits, your favourite toppings and a whole LOTTA fun!

3. Secret Garden Party

Doesn't the name itself make you want to go to this party? Summer time is a popular time for bridal showers, baby showers, weddings and more. Whatever your reason for celebration, a secret garden party theme is an excellent option.

What makes a secret garden party, you ask? I like to think the secret ingredient is you ... of course, and pretty little details. Given that our gatherings right now are small, it makes for a perfect intimate setting, which is what comes to my mind when I think of Secret Garden.

This is a perfect theme for an outdoor garden party, but if you feel yours doesn't have as many flowers, think of creative ways to incorporate floral details and greenery. A budget friendly way to add beautiful details is to add a mix of green leaves and flowers from your garden or picked during your nature stroll. A little bit goes a long way. We have also added a line up of beautiful party supplies and decor that let you easily bring the outdoors in.

Stay safe and party on!
